What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser so that it can remember information from one page to the next, or between visits. Similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage, serve comparable purposes. This policy covers both.
Cookies we use
SCENTIVOIRE sets two cookies of its own. Both are necessary: one remembers the language you read in and the other your cookie choice, so they do not require consent:

pll_language contains only a two-letter language code, such as “en” or “es”. It is set by Polylang, the multilingual plugin the website runs on, and it is not used for analytics, advertising or profiling.
sv_consent contains only your choice for each optional category, a version number and the date and time of the choice. After six months, or whenever the optional cookies, tags or providers described here change, the website asks you again.
Optional cookies: analytics and marketing
With your consent, SCENTIVOIRE may use two optional categories of cookies:
- Analytics: to measure, in aggregate, which pages are read and how the website is used, so that we can improve it;
- Marketing: to measure our advertising campaigns and, where applicable, to build a profile from your browsing in order to show you personalised, more relevant ads on other websites.
Optional cookies are managed through Google Tag Manager, a tag manager provided by Google Ireland Limited. Google Tag Manager is loaded only after you accept analytics or marketing cookies, with “Accept all” or under “Configure”; until then, your browser makes no request to any Google domain. If you choose “Reject all” or close the notice with the ×, it is not loaded at all. Once it is loaded, your browser downloads the Google Tag Manager script from googletagmanager.com, which, like any request on the internet, gives Google your IP address and basic technical data about your browser. The website also passes your choice to Google through Consent Mode, so that each tag knows which categories you have accepted. Google may also process these data outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States; Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission adopted an adequacy decision on 10 July 2023.
At present no analytics or marketing tag is active, so accepting these categories does not set any additional cookie. If a tag is activated, its cookies will first be listed in the table of this policy, with their name, provider, purpose and duration, and the website will ask for your consent again before the tag runs.
What we do not use
A technical review of the website on 30 September 2026, including after accepting all optional cookies, found no cookies other than the two listed above. In particular, SCENTIVOIRE currently does not use:
- analytics or audience-measurement cookies;
- advertising or social-media cookies;
- any other third-party cookies;
- other browser storage, such as localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB or Cache Storage, or service workers.
The fonts used on the website are served from scentivoire.com itself, not from an external font service.
Perfume Finder
When you use the Perfume Finder, your selections are sent only to our own server to calculate the results. The Finder does not set any cookie and does not save your choices.
Links to retailers and brands
Some pages link to external retailers and brand websites. When you follow one of those links, that website may use its own cookies and process technical, purchase or account data under its own privacy and cookie policies. SCENTIVOIRE has no control over those cookies, so we recommend reviewing the policies of each website you visit.
How to manage or delete cookies
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with “Cookie preferences”, at the foot of every page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it: switch the categories off and save, or choose “Reject all”. The website then stops loading Google Tag Manager and deletes the Google cookies stored on scentivoire.com (those whose names begin with _ga, _gid, _gat, _gcl or _gac).
You can also view, block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, usually in the privacy or site data section.
If you block or delete pll_language, the website still works: the language is part of every page address (for example, /es/ for Spanish), so you can keep browsing in the language you choose.
If you delete sv_consent, the website simply asks for your choice again.
Changes to this policy
This Cookie Policy will be updated before any analytics or marketing tag is activated and whenever the cookies described here change. Before a tag is activated, and whenever a tag, provider, cookie, purpose or category changes, the website will ask for your consent again.
